This program is designed for individuals in the occupational health & safety fields.
- The Audiometric/Hearing Conservation Certification course provides practical knowledge in hearing conservation and training in the use of audiometric equipment.
- The goal of this course is to enable participants to conduct audiometric screening tests (hearing tests) and enables them to participate in hearing conservation programs under federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Duration: 20 hours (recertification course is 8 hours).
- Upon passing a written and practicum examination, participants will be eligible for certification as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC). This certification is valid for 5 years.

Audiometric/Hearing Conservation Instructor:
Dr. James B. Robertson has been practicing in the field of Audiology since he earned his M.A. from the University of Kansas in 1972. Dr. Robertson earned a Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida in 2000. He currently is with a private practice, The Wyndmoor Ear Company, which he joined in 1999.
